Mark Vernick founded Vernick Financial in 1995 and has worked in financial planning for nearly 30 years. After graduating from Eckerd College with a BA in Business Administration, he earned his CFP® certification in 1997 and his AIF (Accredited Investment Fiduciary) designation in 2015. He holds Series 7, 24, and 63 securities licenses and is licensed for Life, Health and Annuity insurance in Florida.
A significant focus of Mark's practice is managing investments for professional guardians, trustees, and others who oversee assets in a fiduciary capacity. He's actively involved in the Professional Guardian Association of Pinellas County, the Professional Guardian Association of Florida, the National Guardian Association and the Professional Fiduciary Council of Florida. Beyond his work with fiduciaries, he helps individuals and families with wealth preservation and generational planning.
Mark is the current Chair of the Better Business Bureau of West Florida and has served on its board for over 20 years. He has also served on the Executive Advisory Council for Suncoast Hospice Foundation and the Professional Advisory Council for The Humane Society of Tampa. He recently completed his term as president of the Seminole Lake Rotary Club for 2022-2023.
A Florida resident, Mark spends his free time on the local waters with his wife, adult children, grandson, and two dogs.
