Darren Vermost has been immersed in the insurance industry since 1990, taking over Vermost Insurance Agency from his father in 2006. As a second-generation insurance expert, Darren has continued his family's legacy with passion and dedication.
Darren is deeply involved in his community. He has served on the board of the local Independent Agents Association, spent nine years on the Safety Harbor Planning and Zoning Board, and served as Vice Chair of the Safety Harbor Code Enforcement Board. Additionally, Darren is an active volunteer in his church as the Liturgy Director and dedicated time to various roles at his daughter's schools, including Chairperson of the School Advisory Board and assistant Varsity Tennis Coach.
In his free time, Darren stays active both on and off the field. You might spot him on a tennis court or golf course, or reading a good book while enjoying a cup of coffee at Starbucks. Darren also has a passion for finding the best smoked ribs across Florida and is always eager to discover new BBQ joints. Got a recommendation? Darren holds a BA from the University of Iowa (Go Hawkeyes!) and an MBA from the University of South Florida (Go Bulls!).
