May 2026 Fiduciary Friday - What To Do with a Client's Stuff?!? Sell? Donate? Auction? (Friday, May 29, 2026)

When a client’s home is filled with personal property, professional fiduciaries are often left to determine what should be sold, donated, auctioned, appraised, moved, or responsibly cleared out. This program will provide practical guidance for navigating those decisions with care, efficiency, and sound judgment.

Auctioneer and personal property appraiser Blake Kennedy and Senior Move Manager® Leann Moore will share insights on evaluating household contents, identifying when an auction or appraisal may be appropriate, coordinating downsizing or estate cleanouts, and managing the emotional and logistical challenges that often come with a client’s belongings. Attendees will gain a clearer understanding of available options, common pitfalls, and best practices for helping clients, families, and estates move forward.

A Tampa native with nearly 20 years of corporate expertise in HR and management, Leann founded A Stress-Less Transition, LLC in 2012. She is a member of the National Association of Senior Move Managers (NASMM.org), specializes in working with older adults and their trusted advisors. She acts as a single point of contact for downsizing individuals and overwhelmed families. Whether managing the entire process or personally sorting through every closet, drawer, and box, she ensures a seamless, caring transition for her clients' homes and belongings.

About Blake Kennedy

Since 1997, our owner and auctioneer, Blake Kennedy, has called over 1,000 sales including antique, estate, and charity auctions. Presently, he also calls monthly auctions for some of the biggest auction houses in Florida.

Being an expert in the auction industry, Blake was invited to be a guest on the Martha Stewart Living Radio Show. He has also received several awards from various auctioneer bid calling championships in Florida.

Blake received his license from the Florida Auctioneer Academy in Orlando, FL. He is also an expert witness in courts throughout the counties of Pinellas, Hillsborough, Collier, and Sarasota. Aside from these, he also holds the following designations and credentials:

Developed through a partnership between the Professional Fiduciary Council of Florida and Stetson University College of Law, this two-week online program offers a comprehensive and practical overview of the powers and duties involved in serving as a Power of Attorney in Florida.

Participants will examine statutory roles, types of POAs, agent powers and limitations, and fiduciary duties. Emphasis is placed on execution requirements, “super” powers, and interpreting POA documents through real-world scenarios and legal guidance.
